Cooking Method for Browntop Millet:
1. Cooking Browntop Millet as Rice:
Rinse 1 cup of Browntop Millet thoroughly.
Soak for 30 minutes (optional, for better texture).
In a pot, add 2 cups of water for every 1 cup of millet.
Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes until the water is absorbed.
Fluff with a fork and serve.
2. Cooking Browntop Millet in a Pressure Cooker:
Rinse and soak 1 cup of Browntop Millet for 15-20 minutes.
Add 2.5 cups of water.
Pressure cook for 2 whistles on medium flame.
Let the pressure release naturally before opening.
3. Using Browntop Millet for Dosa/Idli Batter:
Soak 1 cup of Browntop Millet with ½ cup urad dal for 4-6 hours.
Grind into a smooth batter and ferment overnight.
Use for soft and fluffy idlis or crispy dosas.
